Introduce yourself to our audience. Tell us who you are and what you are currently focused on.

I’m a born and raised Texan with a passion for the apparel industry. I’m energized by the fast pace and ever changing demands and possibilities. I spent 5 years with JCPenney as part of their world-class sourcing organization. I am now an Account Manager for Avery Dennison. My current focus on growth and pushing myself beyond my comfort zone. With so much constantly changing around us, there is always something new to learn.

What qualities does it take for someone to be successful in your line of work?
I believe the most important attributes someone can possess to be successful are passion and integrity. Passion gives you the drive to push through even the toughest of days or conversations – it’s a fire you can feel inside yourself. Relationships are a vital part of what I do. Without integrity, people may work with you once but you won’t build and sustain long term partnerships.

What is one piece of advice you’d offer working moms?
Find your “mom tribe.” Having a support system in other working moms is invaluable and definitely makes you stronger. Powerful results happen when we lift each other up.

What is the best career advice you ever received?
Always be true to yourself. If you want something – go after it. You are responsible for your own path and how you get to where you are going.
